Causes
The bacterium Chlamydia felis, spread through eye secretions. Common in kittens and in multi-cat households.
Diagnosis
Eye examination + specific tests (PCR of the ocular discharge).
Treatment
Antibiotics (topical and oral) as prescribed by the vet. Treat all cats in contact.
Prevention
A vaccine is available (recommended in high-risk settings), hygiene, reducing overcrowding.
