A frugivore-insectivore diet based on a specific LOW-IRON commercial feed, plus fresh fruit (apple, papaya, melon, banana) and the occasional insect. Avoid citrus and vitamin C supplements, which promote iron absorption. Never a seed-only diet.
✂️ Grooming
A very messy bird: it defecates frequently and flings bits of fruit around, so the cage and surroundings need daily cleaning. It loves to bathe; make a bath available often.
