A special diet: it needs more fat than other parrots, based on palm nuts, macadamia and walnuts, complemented with macaw pellets and fruit/vegetables. Its beak cracks very hard nuts; offer safe nuts in the shell.

Frequent bathing/showering, beak and nail care, feather inspection. Its plumage is kept in condition by the right diet and environment, not by brushing.
🎓 Training
The largest parrot in the world and highly intelligent: it learns tricks and words with positive reinforcement and is surprisingly gentle, but its beak is the most powerful of any bird; handling requires a great deal of experience.
