A pellet base with plenty of leafy greens and vegetables; fruit in moderation. A tendency towards obesity and fatty liver, so control fats and oil-rich seeds. Avoid avocado, chocolate, salt and caffeine.
✂️ Grooming
Regular baths or showers to maintain the plumage. Beak and nails wear down with branches and toys; do not clip wings without veterinary judgement.
🎓 Training
An excellent talker and intelligent: it learns with positive reinforcement. It can have hormonal and territorial outbursts during the breeding season, so learn to read its body language.
🏃 Exercise
It needs 2 hours a day out of the cage, supervised flight or climbing and plenty of enrichment with foraging and destruction toys.
